Hanging Herb Garden | Persephone Magazine
My mum loves herbs. But herbs do not love her, they always end up dying! I think she would really like this hanging herb garden, and the benefit is that it has soil so it’s not going to wilt and die. And it looks gorgeous! As it suggests, if you’re worried about dripping, don’t hang them over anything electrical or surfaces you don’t want damaged.

doing this.

Door Knob Hangers | Imm Living
Though not a DIY, this pic gives lots of inspiration to create something similar in my own house. Wouldn’t a bunch of these look great in the bathroom for hanging towels? Or a couple near the front door to hang your bag? You can usually find old doorknobs in second hand stores, reclaimed furniture stores, etc. Clean them up, spray paint them your chosen colour and attach to the wall. Easy yet effective!

I have two jobs waiting for me in Austin, but I’ll still need to get another one. Add to this my quasi-internship at Picturebox, VSA events to attend, and social “obligations” (aka getting incredibly stoned and watching movies or cleaning the house), and I am really, really going to need a way to organize my time. I’ve decided that I’m going to remove the pages from a pretty hardcover book I have (a farmer’s almanac from the early ’70s, I believe—I’ll continue to save the pages for collaging), glue in binder rings, and create a basic planner: two pages for a full-month calender, then two pages for each week. Instead of a note-taking section, I’ll super-glue one of my smaller moleskins to the inside back cover—they have pouches as well, so I’ll be good to go! Expect pictures when finished.

Measuring Cup Organiser | Infarrantly Creative
Wherever single socks go, I believe that measuring cups and spoons also go! I always buy new sets, put them dutifully back in the drawer and then… they disappear. That might have something to do with the fact that the drawers are usually packed with other junk. Having a hanging set like this is like having a shadow board for your tools. Plus there’s a great second part to this DIY which is a vinyl sticker with a conversion chart!

oh my gawsh I must make this!

UGHH this would be so awesome, y’all. Every bed I want just gets pricier and pricier, even if homemade. How disappointing.

How much would this cost? My mom says more than $40, which is how much that simple IKEA frame costs. Hmmm…

Record dividers for your record collection. Quite brilliant really. Some store bought stickers, some records from the charity shop that no one wants and BAM! Your LP collection is alphabetically sorted soothing the OCD beast in all of us. Visit the entire photo set to see how it was done.

I’ve been wondering how I was going to organize mine after the move! Right now they’re just thrown in but I want to re-alphabetize them once I’m in Austin.

old belt to bag holder : Bored and Crafty
I had this exact same idea…minus the old belt lol. Now I won’t feel so cool when I finally make mine. But you should check out this one, you’ll need something to compare it to.

Nice! I definitely need something like this, as I have about a thousand bags laying around the house.

Holder for Charging Cell Phone (made from lotion bottle) | Make It and Love It
C’mon, you know you are going to raid your bathroom for a mostly empty bottle right now!

You could put some bells in the bottom so whenever your phone vibrates you hear it!

it’s PVC pipe :) use hook and loop tape to connect them to the cabinet!

I don’t use my straightener or blowdryer very often, but I still use them occasionally and they take up space whether I’m using them or not. This is a great idea.
